A Worldwide Prayer Movement Bringing Insight, Renewal and Healing to All

In this new millennium, a worldwide prayer movement is moving the Church of Jesus Christ. From the 2nd of April through the 5th there has been an immense gathering of Christians in Egypt for the annual Prayer For Egypt Conference, with attendance estimated at 14,000 registered participants. This was held in the town of Borg El Arab, 50 kilometres outside of Alexandria on the Mediterranean coast. In addition, there was a separate Children’s Prayer Conference with a full program for the 300 children present.

The dream is to establish in Egypt a round-the-clock Prayer Tent for All Nations, and to see Houses of Prayer established in every Arab Nation in the Middle East, in order to bring insight, renewal and healing to all people. Proceedings of the adult program were streamed live over the Internet, and the archived meetings for each day have also been made available for viewing. That website can be found at http://www.prayforegypt.com/English. Join with them online as they pray for their nation to become a well of the blessed revival of the gospel and God’s word. Now is the time to fast and pray, wherever you are, for the release of God’s redemptive gifts.

Back home in Australia, there will be a School of Prayer, and a Prayer Conference from 21 – 31 May 2008 in Sydney, with the theme of Visit Our Land. It is envisioned that for the first time in history, Arabic speaking Christians from all walks of life will join together to pray for Australia to impact the Pacific region for the Lord, as well as all the nations represented by the various ethnic groups participating. Catholic, Orthodox, and Evangelical believers united together under one roof asking for nothing but the presence of God. A team from the Prayer Ministry in Egypt will be present to share what the Lord has been doing in their land, and to encourage Australians to boldly meet the challenges facing our nation today.

The School of Prayer will be held 22-25 May 2008, and is designed for the leaders in church ministry. The Prayer Conference to be held from 28 – 31 May is an open celebration to which everyone in Australia and New Zealand is invited.
