FAMILY FIRST READY
I am very pleased, speaking as the NSW Parliamentary Leader of Family First, along with my other colleagues in both the South Australian Parliament and the Australian Senate, to witness the excellent campaigns of all of our representatives standing for Parliament in this year’s Federal elections. Family First is the fifth biggest political Party in Australia, and having members in both State and Federal Parliaments, are not to be confused with micro parties that have only one member in one Parliament or none at all.
Moreover in South Australia, Western Australia, Victoria and Queensland we have candidates in every electorate, while in New South Wales, the newest of our State Branches, we are contesting the 16 most marginal electorates. In each of these states, we have several Senate candidates. In South Australia, Western Australia, Queensland and Victoria, we are confident in seeing Senator Steve Fielding, and candidates Bob Day and Wendy Francis, and Linda Rose elected.
In NSW, our candidates, Greg Swane and Phil Lamb are conducting a creditable campaign. Recently the NSW lead candidate, Greg Swane, a committed Christian and good family man, stated, that like all Family First Parliamentarians and candidates, he was “totally committed to families influencing government rather than government policy impacting on the family unit unfairly.”
Swane also states a belief that this should be the stance of all politicians serving the Australian public. Family First and Greg Swane are looking to continue the fight on behalf of the Families of Australia, of every belief system and nationality. Unlike some other parties, we do not discriminate against people of other races and religions. We belong to the family of God however people from different cultures perceive Him, and we promote the great values found in families regardless of their country or origin.
